Bike Theft Message

Here’s the latest update on bike theft in your area. 

Dear Residents Of Holland,
Your Local SNT Officers recently conducted a proactive operation focusing on e-bikes within the holland area as part of our ongoing efforts to prevent theft and ensure bikes are being used lawfully.

We are pleased to report that no e-bikes were seized during the operation, which seems to be a positive indication that the vast majority of riders are complying within the law and using their bikes responsibly.

Our officers remain aware of concerns surrounding e-bike theft and illegal use and will continue to carry out regular patrols and targeted operations to help keep our community safe. We encourage residents to continue securing their bikes with high-quality locks to report any suspicious activity to the police.

We know that bikes are an important way for people to travel and are at risk of theft because of how expensive they can be. If you have your bike stolen, please report it as soon as possible. Delays in reporting can make it harder for us to investigate and recover stolen property.   

If you have a bike, you can help keep it safe by following our ten ways to protect your bike. The most important thing to remember is to double lock your bike and register the frame number. 

You can report an incident of bike theft by using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.
